To Whom It May Concern;

As a resident of Assumption Road . Baguio City, I request that the DNR preserve the last large, old, full growth tree we have on our street.

It is located at Gate 5, SLU, adjacent to the UB Science High School and the tree is attempted to be cut down by SLU to build a Day Care Center.

I argue they can put the Day Care Center behind the tree and leave the tree to enhance the Day Care Center.

The rest of Assumption Road is already concrete and pavement. We need this large, perhaps 100 year old tree to leave some amount of Nature on the street, shade, and oxygen.

I notice that UB survived their slightly smaller trees when they expanded several years ago by building boxes around them. I urge SLU to follow this example.

At the present SLU does not have a permit to cut the tree. They began the cutting process without a permit and exhibited every intention to complete the cutting process without a permit.

But that is not the issue as they are now applying for a permit.

I request that SLU be DENIED a permit to cut the this tree and build the Day Care Center around, preserving the last, large, old tree on the street for the community of Baguio.

Respectfully Submitted,
